Dr. Nagendra Sardeshpande has over two decades of experience and mastery in then management of gynecologic problems by gynecological endoscopy (also called as keyhole surgery, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, minimally invasive surgery or laser surgery). He has successfully performed over 15000 surgeries of varying complexity including management of gynecological cancers, fibroids, endometriosis, uterine abnormalities and conditions causing repeated pregnancy loss and infertility (inability to get pregnant).

Fibroids are benign tumors of the uterus which can grow to enormous size and cause symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pain and difficulty in passing urine and stools. Robotic surgery involves operating on a patient with instruments whose movements are controlled by the surgeon sitting at a console. This technology has been around since the turn of the century and is evolving constantly. Most of the surgeries performed by conventional endoscopy can be performed by robotic surgery. Although similar in efficacy, safety and outcomes to endoscopy, Dr. Nagendra Sardeshpande also offers this technology in various hospitals that he operates in since he believes in offering therapeutic options to the woman as per her desire and need.
